Wind Energy – South Fork Wind
Ørsted announced that South Fork Wind is officially delivering first power!
Located off the US East Coast, the project is successfully generating electricity from its first turbine, becoming the first utility-scale offshore wind farm in US federal waters to begin providing offshore wind power to the grid.
When fully complete, South Fork Wind’s 12 wind turbines will be able to power the equivalent of around 70,000 US homes.
