Wind Energy – Recycling

Continuum Composite Recycling will invest DKK 600 million in a new production factory that NorSea Denmark will build and own on NorSea Denmark’s land in Måde – ideally located in relation to the motorway and port.

Here the company will recycle wind turbine blades with pioneering technology.

The green transition will be even greener with the new factory in Måde, in the eastern part of Esbjerg and it is expected to be ready for occupancy in 2025.

“The new factory will be an important element in the green value chain, and it fits in very well with us as specialists in logistics for the energy sector,” says Jesper Høj-Hansen, CEO at NorSea Denmark.

“For us, it could be fantastic if we could expand our competencies to also include the decommissioning of offshore wind – for example, delivering an end-of-life offshore wind turbine blade directly from the offshore wind farm for recycling at Continuum,” he says.
