Wind Energy – Moray West

Last week, OW Ocean Winds UK marked the next offshore installation milestone on the Moray West offshore wind farm with the start of pull-in for the first of two offshore export cables provided by our supply chain partner Nexans.

The Nexans Skaggerak and then the Nexans Aurora will lay and bury the two offshore cables.

Once complete, the cables will connect the onshore export cables at the landfall joint bay above the cliffs on the Aberdeenshire coast with the offshore substations, recently manufactured in the northeast of England.

OW Ocean Winds and Nexans are taking the next step to create the flow of green electrons from the Moray West wind farm to support energy security and stable power prices.
