Wind Energy – He Dreiht
Buss Energy Group (Buss) has been awarded the project contract for the EnBW offshore wind farm He Dreiht by Heerema Marine Contractors.
The contract is scheduled to start end of 2023 and will be operated by Buss Terminal Eemshaven (BTE).
The works include the unloading of monopiles by SPMTs and TPs by crawler crane, terminal handling and transport, storage of the components, as well as, loading onto the seagoing barges for installation.
Additionally, Buss will cover the engineering and project management aspects associated with the logistics scope of this project.
He Dreiht will consist of 64 wind turbines and is going to have an installed capacity of 960 MW. The wind farm is situated approximately 90 kilometers northwest of the island of Borkum and 110 kilometers west of Helgoland.
Scheduled for grid connection by the end of 2025, He Dreiht represents one of the largest energy transition initiatives in Europe, capable of supplying renewable energy to 1.1 million households.
The monopiles with a diameter of 9.2 meters and lengths of up to 71 meters will have a unit weight of up to 1,350 tons and the transition pieces will have a weight of up to 640 -tons and reach heights of up to 35 meters. The transport and offshore installation of the components will be expertly handled by Heerema Marine Contractors.
