Wind Energy – Rebranding
The US Business Network for Offshore Wind, marking a decade helping businesses and organizations build the offshore wind industry, is rebranding as Oceantic Network.
The new name not only reinforces the members’ leadership in offshore wind, it also positions Oceantic Network to shape the development of other sources of ocean-based renewable energy, such as wave, tidal, floating solar, and green hydrogen.
Founded in 2013 by a group of Maryland businesses with a shared vision to break into the emerging offshore wind industry, we remain dedicated to creating jobs and economic opportunity while adding clean, renewable energy to the nation’s power grid. As a member-driven organization, we connect developers, policymakers, academics, and community and workforce leaders through events, education, digital tools, and policies focused on building a resilient supply chain.
Liz Burdock, president and CEO, says: “With a new name, we remain driven to help people, businesses, communities, and the nation take advantage of offshore wind and other ocean renewables as sources of clean energy. Our goal was and remains to support our members as they create sustainable jobs, reliable, utility-scale clean energy, and ensure long-term environmental benefits.”
