Wind Energy – New WTIV

Friede & Goldman unveils the FO-146 Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV), a groundbreaking collaboration with our partners at OIM Wind.

The FO-146 WTIV represents a significant leap forward in offshore wind installation technology, seamlessly integrating the industry’s latest innovations with Friede & Goldman’s decades of engineering and naval architecture expertise.

It is based on F&G’s WindSetter Class WTIVs and is the result of a collaboration between the two companies.

Key Highlights:

▪ Can accommodate up to five x 18 MW or four x 20 MW Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) sets, including their Full Height Towers;

▪ 6200 m2 deck space;

▪ Impressive water depth capacity of 80 meters;

▪ Equipped with a 3200 mT SWL leg encircling crane, ready to install XXL foundations;

▪ A design generating significant industry interest, with plans for at least two units underway to meet growing demand.
