Arrival first shipment Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project

Wind Energy – Coastal Virginia

Dominion Energy hosted a celebration for the arrival of the first shipment of foundations at The Port of Virginia.

DEME Offshore is responsible transporting and installing 176 foundations, three offshore substations, scour protection, and the supply and installation of export and inter-array cables.

The arrival of the first heavy load carrier Sun Shine and the successful delivery of eight monopiles marks the beginning of a highly collaborative effort with Dominion.

DEME Offshore has recently opened an office in Norfolk, Virginia, from where the team will lead the construction.

For this specific project DEME Offshore is working in a consortium with Prysmian Group.
