RWE secured its very first US offtake award.
This represents a major milestone for our 3.2 GW offshore wind site in the New York Bight.
RWE will deliver the project, Community Offshore Wind, together with partner National Grid.
The wind turbines that will be installed during the first phase can produce enough electricity to power more than 500,000 US homes. This contributes to the State of New York’s clean energy goals by reducing carbon emission by up to 5 percent.
