Dutch grid operator TenneT TSO confirmed its trust in Prysmian by awarding a share in the new framework agreement for the strengthening of the Dutch Power Transmission Grid worth approximately €280 MLN.

Scope of work exist of the design, engineering, manufacturing, delivery, assembly, installation, (supervision during) cable laying, testing and ready-for-service completion of multi 150kV Onshore cable projects with conductor cross sections of 1.600, 2.500 and 3.500 sq.mm. with aluminum conductor.

Further to the above, Prysmian has been assigned as one of the five preferred suppliers for the delivery of upcoming 220 and 380kV projects in the Netherlands with same scope of work. The award reaffirms Prysmian`s leading role in the Dutch market.

TenneT is investing approx. €13 BLN until 2031 in the Dutch onshore transmission grid to align its capacity with the ongoing energy transition by expanding and reinforcing the Transmission Network with among others 40 new substations, undergrounding of overhead lines and refurbishment.

The framework agreement shall not only secure the availability of materials and resources to keep the investment going as planned but also establish close cooperation between TenneT and its partners to create speed of execution.
