Fossil Energy – Drilling GoM

Diamond Offshore 12,000-ft drillship Ocean BlackHawk has left Las Palmas in the Canary Islands for the US GoM for a new contract after undergoing its five-year special periodic survey (SPS) and other contract preparations.

Ocean BlackHawk secured a one-year contract with a one-year option with Occidental subsidiary Anadarko Petroleum in May 2023. The firm contract is expected to commence in November 2023. The unit’s last job was with Woodside offshore Senegal.
