South Korea’s first OWIV installs first turbines at Jeju Project Site

Hyundai Engineering & Steel Industries’ wind turbine installation vessel, equipped with Kongsberg Maritime technology, has installed its first turbines at the 100 MW Jeju Hallim offshore wind farm, South Korea.

The offshore support vessel owned by Hyundai Engineering & Steel Industries’ was delivered in June this year and is said to be the first of its kind operating in the country.

The owners have stated that the vessel can install 300MW of turbines per year.
