EPIC contract for Guohua Peninsula South U2 Site

Wind Energy – Guohua Peninsula South U2 China

ZTT Submarine Cable & System has recently awarded an EPIC contract for Guohua Peninsula South U2 Site Offshore Wind Power Project.

The project is located in Weihai city, Shandong province, China, with a planned installed capacity of 600MW, divided into two phases of development and construction, the total area of the site is about 95.6 square kilometers.

The first phase ‘U2-1’ has a proposed deployment of 36 sets of 8.5MW wind turbines including an offshore substation and land centralized control center, and the second phase ‘U2-2’ has a proposed deployment of 35 sets of 8.5MW wind turbines.

The offshore distance of the site center is about 32 kilometers. 69km 35kV three-core submarine cable and 190km 220kV three-core submarine cable will be supplied and installed in water depth of 30-33 meters. All the cables are scheduled to be delivered in Q4 2023.
