Fossil Energy – Drilling Permission

The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) has granted ExxonMobil permission to begin exploratory drilling using Odfjell-managed semisub Hercules.

The rig arrived off Canada on 3 July. It has been contracted for one firm well and one optional well in the Jeanne d’Arc Basin.

Following this assignment, Hercules will mobilise to Namibia for its next charter with Galp Energia.
