CASAKHA awarded subsea cable project

General – Subsea Cable Installation

Engineering company CASAKHA yesterday announced an award by PT. Zumar Daya Hutama as cable laying contractor for the subsea cable replacement project between Pabelokan and Zelda Platform in Pabelokan Island, Java Sea, Indonesia.

The project is owned by Pertamina Hulu Energy Offshore South East Sumatera (PHE OSES) and the main contractor as well as cable supplier is PT. Voksel Electric.

The contract scope includes project management (PMT) and installation engineering (T&I) of approximately 37km of 35kV subsea cable and associated infrastructures. The subsea cable will be laid from the Pebelokan Island (onshore pull) towards Zelda Platform with the expected maximum water depth along the route of 30m.

Project management and engineering will commence immediately at CASAKHA’s project office in Jakarta, with offshore activity expected to begin in Q4 2023.
