Wind Energy – Port Service
UK-based Clarkson Port Service has won a contract from Ocean Winds to support its Moray West offshore wind project in the Moray Firth, Scotland.
Clarkson has been expanding its renewables portfolio and most recently acquired Dutch offshore wind integrated logistics services firm DHSS, founded by Wim Schouwenaar, to bolster its offering.
The contract marks a first for Clarkson Port Services in terms of working directly with developers, the company said.
The deal will see the company provide port agency services on the 882 MW project developed by EDP Renewables and Engie joint venture.
Moray West will consist of 60 offshore wind turbines and two substations, all fixed on monopile foundations. Offshore installation works are set for late 2023 with full power generation by 2025.
