Wind Energy – Vineyard Wind 1

Recently HLV GPO Grace anchored in the Halifax Harbour, carrying monopiles and transition pieces for the Vineyard Wind 1 project.

Some of the monopiles were transferred to the installation vessel Orion of DEME Offshore, to start the installation of the 62 monopiles.

Later this year, DEME’s Sea Installer will perform the project’s turbine installation campaign, involving 62 GE’s 13-MW HaliadeX turbines.

GPO Grace was built in 2017, its carrying capacity is 63581 t DWT, and its current draught is reported to be 7 meters.
