Inter-array cables for three offshore wind parks in Norfolk

Wind Energy – Inter Array Cables Norfolk

Hellenic Cables signed an agreement with Vattenfall to supply the inter-array cables for the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone.

Hellenic Cables will supply the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone with approximately 850km of aluminium conductor cables which will link the wind turbines of each string and each string to the offshore substation, thus assisting to energize what will result in one of the largest offshore wind zones in the world.

Under this contract, Hellenic Cables will design, manufacture, test and supply the 66 kV XLPE-insulated subsea inter-array cables and the associated accessories.

The cables will be produced at Hellenic Cables’ vertically integrated, state-of-the-art submarine cables plant in Corinth,

Cable production will take place through the years 2025 to 2028 according to the project’s delivery time schedule.
