Ziton extends vessel charters with Siemens Gamesa

Wednesday, May 3 2023

Wind Energy – Ziton and SIemens Gamesa

Ziton and Siemens Gamesa signed new charter agreements extending the current charter of the Wind Enterprise by four-and-a-half years.

The current time charter agreement for Wind Enterprise expires on 31 October 2024 with Siemens Gamesa having various extension options to extend this until 20 June 2025.

The parties have also entered into a new six-year time charter agreement for a new vessel to be purchased by Ziton.

The new vessel has the same specifications as Wind Enterprise and was built a few months later than Wind Enterprise in 2011 at the same yard and is operating in China, installing offshore wind turbines.

“With the tremendous forecasted growth of the offshore wind market, it was important to secure long-term jack-up vessel capacity to support our growing service business and new opportunities for aftermarket solutions. Siemens Gamesa is proud to be the lifetime service partner for our customers by delivering safe and efficient maintenance operations,” says René Cornelis Wigmans, Global Head of Offshore Service Logistics at Siemens Gamesa.
