Netherlands meets Saudi over possible hydrogen import cooperation

Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wopke Hoekstra recently met with the Saudi ministers of foreign affairs and energy during a visit to the Middle Eastern country in order to reaffirm cooperation among the two countries in several areas.

With Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman, Hoekstra spoke about hydrogen exports to Europe.

Saudi Arabia has the ambition of becoming a major player in clean hydrogen and renewable energies.

The two discussed the possible usage of the port of Rotterdam as the entry gate for clean hydrogen in Europe.
