Wind Energy – Infinite Project

Cenergy Holdings has announced on its LinkedIn that its cables segment, Hellenic Cables, is part of the 10 leading international entities selected by the European Commission to deliver the Infinite Project.

Among the project’s ambitions are the deployment and the testing of a 4.8-MW floating wind pilot system at 100 m water depth and the creation of a disruptive and environmentally friendly concrete tension-leg platform anchored with a tendon-based mooring system.

Hellenic Cables said its contribution to the success of the project includes the certification and supply of 66-kV dynamic cable design that is safer, lighter, cost-effective and allows more standardization in O&M.

The company said the Infinite Project significantly contributes to the advancement of offshore floating wind energy sector thanks to the development and demonstration of two technology innovations (concrete TLP platform with tendon mooring system and aluminium dynamic cables) and to a series of horizontal activities, both ensuring a cost-efficient, effective and sustainable market uptake of offshore wind energy technologies.
