Wind Energy – Bangladesh
BLIX, in a joint venture with CESI (Italy) and Synotech Engineering (Bangladesh), was awarded the Pre-Feasibility and Detailed Feasibility Study for the development of offshore wind farms in Bangladesh by the Power Division, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Bangladesh.
This marks the first project for BLIX in this part of the world.
In 2022, the Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) has set a target of generating 5GW of onshore and offshore wind power by 2030.
The study awarded to BLIX and its joint venture partners is part of the pathway towards this target.
