Copenhagen Offshore Partners opened a new office in Porto, Portugal.
From this office a COP team is advancing early market development activities for a 2 GW floating offshore wind project called Nortada off the coast of Figueira da Foz.
The project is positioned to be the first large-scale offshore wind farm in the country and will help Portugal achieve its 10GW offshore wind goals. Nortada is named for the dominant wind of the Portuguese coast.

COP Portugal Market Director, Afonso César Machado said: “The Nortada project will serve as an example in Portugal of how clean energy can bring more than just power, but can offer a pathway to reindustrialization and economic growth.
