Formosa 2 Offshore Wind Farm, a collaboration project between Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) and our joint venture partners, has completed the installation of all 47 WTGs.
Over 80% of the completed WTGs are exporting power to the grid and providing stable, clean energy to help realize Taiwan’s energy transformation!
Although hazardous winter conditions in the Taiwan Strait and the pandemic posed great challenges to marine construction, the shareholders, project members, and collaborating partners always persisted.
The team actively took advantage of every weather window and overcame all difficulties to accelerate the project’s progress. The effort paid off, and Formosa 2 became the first completed wind farm for Taiwan’s Phase 2 of offshore wind policy.
SRE is one of the few offshore wind developers in the Asia Pacific region with track records of the full life cycle of an offshore wind farm which covers phases of development, construction, and O&M.
