Tuesday, January 17 2023

Fossil Energy – Egypt

Stena Drilling has signed a new contract with Shell for the use of the drillship Stena Forth in Egypt.

The operations for Stena Forth in Egypt are due to begin in 2023 upon completion of its existing contractual commitments. The Shell exploration project will entail three wells drilled in the Mediterranean.

The project will require Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) utilising the system owned and installed by Stena Drilling on the Stena Forth.
