Wind Energy – HKN

SeaMar from Den Helder has been contracted by Van Oord to deploy guard vessels on the Offshore Wind Farm Hollandse Kust Noord project.

Hollandse Kust Noord Offshore Wind Farm site will be developed and operated by CrossWindHKN.

The guard vessels are present within the 125 km2 total surface area of the wind farm and are keeping close contact with the coast guard and project teams to secure the construction site.

If required, the guard vessels shall assist the emergency response teams and take an active part in any required emergency situation. With their excellent sea keeping performances, the guard vessels can support the construction works which are taking place 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

The installation and commissioning of the wind farm is expected to be completed in the second half of 2023.
