EASP AIR will use hangar at Den Helder Airport

Saturday, December 31 2022

General – Den Helder Airport

On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, Conny van den Hoff (Director of Den Helder Airport) and Pieter Voeten (CEO NL EASP AIR) signed the lease contract for Hangar 5 at Den Helder Airport.

NL EASP AIR will use Hangar 5 as a parking and maintenance area for its DORNIER DO328 Maritime Patrol Aircrafts, which are being deployed in operations for the European Border and Coast Guard Agency.

The hangar will also be used for integration works on sensors and systems for Special Mission Aircraft.

Conny van den Hoff: “I am very happy that NL EASP AIR has chosen Den Helder Airport as its main location. NL EASP AIR is the first commercial Fixed Wing Operator to establish itself at Den Helder Airport. This entails extra activities and high quality employment.”

Pieter Voeten: “Without a doubt, this new location will offer new employment opportunities and internships for local employees and trainees. In the course of 2023 dedicated Air Charter Operations will be operated to North Sea destinations as well.”

Part of the large hangar will house helicopters. The remaining places are offered to business jet owners who can rent parking spaces for shorter and longer periods.
