Tonight in Antwerp, Belgium, DEME Offshore was honoured with the Blue Innovation Award for the ground-breaking drilling solution to install foundations for wind farms in a rocky seabed and the successful completion of the Saint-Nazaire wind farm.
The prize was received by Bart de Poorter, General Manager DEME Offshore and Dieter Rabaut, Manager Engineering, Design & Technology.
This drilling technology enables DEME Offshore to install offshore wind farms in a rocky seabed in an economical and environmental friendly manner, where conventional installation methods are not suitable.
With this expertise DEME Offshore can carry out installation works in similar challenging conditions across the globe.
