Equinor, Invenergy LLC and RWE have all won sites in the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s first Pacific seabed tender, for sites off the coast of California.

First offshore wind lease sale in the Pacific results in over $757 million in winning bids for five lease areas, which have the potential to power over 1.5 million homes
The winners are:
– RWE Offshore Wind Holding is paying $157.7m for site PO561, 1,6GW
– California North Floating (Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners) is paying $173.8m for site PO562, 1GW
– Equinor Wind US is paying $130m for site PO563, 2GW
– Central California Offshore Wind (OW Ocean Winds) is paying $150.3m for site PO564, 2GW
– Invenergy LLC California Offshore is paying $145.3m for site PO565, 1,5GW
