RES, with a long history and a broad base of experience in offshore wind, announced the signing of its first offshore maintenance contract in France with Ailes Marines for the maintenance and upkeep of the St Brieuc offshore substation.
RES will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the equipment and structure of the offshore substation.
This project allows RES to deploy its experience in offshore maintenance in France (more than 2.5GW under maintenance contract in the UK) whilst participating in the structuring of the French industrial sector.
Over the past couple of years, RES and VALEMO have been identifying local contractors with the support of Bretagne Ocean Power, in order to include local companies in the offshore project. Using local (or French) contractors is extremely important to RES and Ailes Marines to give back to the communities in which we work.
