Installation living quarters jack-up offshore at GTA field

Friday, October 7 2022

General – Living Quarters

In early September, GustoMSC engineers assisted with the successful installation of the living quarters jack-up offshore at the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) field.

GTA is located offshore of Mauritania and Senegal and operated by bp on behalf of a partnership of bp, Kosmos Energy, SMH and PETROSEN.

The jack-up is outfitted with the field-proven GustoMSC Hydraulic Jacking System with a preload capacity of 3840 tons per leg. It will remain permanently installed to serve as living quarters in the GTA FLNG project, which is expected to begin production in 2023 and will serve as a new energy hub in Africa.
