Wind Energy – Moray West
China’s COSCO Shipping has received a contract from Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) for the transportation of monopiles from China to the Moray Firth, Scotland.
To carry out the work, COSCO will provide two X-class type vessels in 2023.
This award underscores COSCO continuing support for developing offshore wind with Moray West generating capacity of 882MW powering up to 640,000 UK homes.
