EemsEnergyTerminal in Holland ready for gas supply (VIDEO)

Friday, September 9 2022

General – LNG

Yesterday, the Start Event of EemsEnergyTerminal took place.

According to Han Fennema, CEO Gasunie the speed at which this project has been developed is exceptional. And there is only one word that can explain this: cooperation.

In order to increase security of supply and become less dependent on Russian gas, a new floating LNG terminal is developed at Eemshaven by Gasunie which comprises of the two floating LNG installations.

The liquefied natural gas is connected to the gas network via these two installations. The terminal has a capacity of 8 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas. This is equivalent to approximately one fifth of the annual total natural gas consumption in the Netherlands.

EemsEnergy Terminal B.V. (EemsEnergyTerminal) is a 100% subsidiary of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunies subsidiary Gasunie LNG Holding B.V.
