Wind energy – MoU
Norwegian Offshore Wind Cluster (NOWC) has today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Wind’OCC, an association of companies in the Occitanie region of France.

For the Cluster, the agreement establishes a platform for cooperation with the French authorities and companies in one of the most exciting offshore wind regions in France.
“This agreement opens up a new and exciting offshore wind market for Norwegian companies. France aims for 6.2 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2028, making France the fourth largest market in Europe. The agreement connects NOWC to the regional development player in Occitanie, one of the regions of France with the greatest potential in offshore wind. Wind’OCC is a key premise provider in the process related to developing wind farms in France, which gives NOWC access to the French supplier industry – from wind farm developers to ports and other companies in the supply chain. This provides great opportunities for the Norwegian supply industry,” says Arvid Nesse, Head of NOWC
The purpose of the agreement is ‘forming a strong bond between Wind’Occ and NOWC to assist the further development of floating offshore wind supply chains in Norway and Occitanie’.
