Wind energy – Taiwan
Today Boskalis’ vessel Bokalift-1 successfully installed the last pile of the 2021 piling campaign for the ChangFang & Xidao Offshore wind project in Taiwan!
This is a major project milestone, achieved under challenging circumstances (tropical storms, long extended shifts for crew due to Covid related travel restrictions, etc.).
According to André Andringa, Project Director at Boskalis Offshore Energy Division, the crew on board Bokalift-1 and the supporting vessels (for underwater noise mitigation, noise measurement and marine mammal observation) deserve a lot of respect, as well Taiwanese JV partner Hwa Chi.
The client is CIP.
