EDT Protea ready for new assignment

Monday, February 22 2021

EDT Protea, a DPIII Multi-purpose support vessel has been mobilizing in the Port of Eemshaven for 8 weeks to get ready for her new assignment.

Among others the knuckle-boom crane is taken off, to make place for the Safeway Seagull motion compensated gangway system from Safeway Gangway. With this system the vessel will enter the walk-to-work arena.

EDT Offshore has recently signed a multi-year contract with Total E&P Netherlands, for its maintenance campaigns in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.

The vessel will be operating out of the port of Den Helder and will use DHSS’s support base as marshalling hub during the contract. DHSS is working as owners and charterer agency.
