Green hydrogen and green ammonia in Norway

Thursday, February 18 2021

Yara International, Aker Horizons and Statkraft are entering a partnership to produce and develop green hydrogen and green ammonia in Norway.

Green ammonia is emerging as one of the most promising carbon-neutral energy carriers for fuel in the maritime sector.

For Norway, this represents a huge opportunity. Norway’s rich renewable energy resources are one of our most important competitive advantages.

This project paves the way for new industrial development as well as giving Norway’s maritime sector access to an emission-free energy source on a large scale.
