Specialist transport and installation contractor OHT is to set up a new office in Danish offshore wind hub, Vejle.
The site will act as the base for the company’s operational and commercial activity for wind turbine (WTG) installation.
OHT Renewables will be headed by Tony Millward, who joined the company on 1 January, 2021.
Millward is joined by Klaus Nissen, previously of Vattenfall, who will be the company’s head of WTG project execution and Camilla Verner Klejs, previously of Orsted, as WTG engineering manager.
The company’s new offices will be ready from 1 May.
With capacity for 20 employees in the first instance, the company is preparing for further growth in the near term and will be tapping into the wealth of experience and expertise that the location has to offer.
OHT chief executive Torgeir Ramstad said: “Denmark is one of the major hubs for offshore wind and a logical location for us to base this key business unit as part of our expansion into WTG installation. Vejle is in the center of this hub, both for serving clients in Denmark and Northern Germany, but also for attracting an experienced and high caliber team.”
OHT is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with offices in the UK, Dubai, Houston, Shanghai and Singapore.
