UK to establish world’s largest hydrogen production plant with carbon capture.
The zero carbon Humber and H2H Saltend project are leading the world with carbon capture and hydrogen production.
Zero carbon Humber plans to capture CO2 from Industry, compressed at Centrica Eastington site and via pipelines to the North sea.
H2H Saltend project, led by Equinor, will produce hydrogen from natural gas for use in power plants and Industry.
Hydrogen produced at scale can be applied to Industry, power, heat, transport and energy storage.
The £75 million investment expects to create 20,000 local jobs, with the mission to create the world’s first net-zero industrial cluster by 2040.
