Wind Energy – FFIV
Zero-C Offshore, based in Aberdeen, has worked closely with Ulstein Design & Solutions on a bespoke FFIV project designed to meet the current & future capacity, capability, efficiency & ESG needs of the OWP industry.

Due to the recent & significant increase in the generating capacity of offshore turbines, there is now a chronic shortage of T&I vessels capable of handling the next generation of turbine component weights, shapes & sizes. FFIVs are particularly scarce, with only a handful of tier 1 vessels available today. It takes three years to build an FFIV, so even if a building boom kicks off today, there will be a supply lag. With a near exponential increase in OWP activity already planned from 2025 onwards by Developers (underpinned by numerous government energy strategies & targets), the world needs a lot of FFIVs, and fast.
This customized Ulstein HX118 design has been developed and priced and is ready to move the industry forward.
Zero-C is developing next-generation, high-performance, low carbon vessel solutions for wind turbine foundation transportation and installation.
