Wind Energy – Moray West
Ocean Winds has contracted China-based Dajin Heavy Industry for the supply of 48 XXL monopile foundations for the Moray West wind farm offshore Scotland that will comprise up to 85 wind turbines and two substations.

The steel cutting for the first monopile has already started.
The monopiles will weigh about 2,000 tonnes and have a diameter of 10 metres, while the steel has been secured from Chinese mills.
Dajin established a European project management team to work together with Moray West and its Chinese teams.
The company also announced it is planning to open a manufacturing facility in Europe that would produce both fixed and floating foundations for offshore wind projects.
