Wison wins order to build large offshore wind vessel

Wind Energy – Installation Vessel

Chinese yard Wison Offshore & Marine has landed a contract from China’s Shandong Lankun Offshore Engineering to build a major offshore wind vessel to accommodate large offshore wind turbine installations.

Under the turnkey deal, subsidiary Wison Nantong Heavy Industry will provide engineering, procurement and construction services  (EPC) for the vessel, which will be capable of installing turbines up to 16 megawatts.

The vessel with DP-2 system will be equipped with a crane with lifting capacity of 1500 tonnes and is able to work in water depths of 70 metres.
