Wind Energy – HKZ
Vattenfall has selected 8.2 Consulting from Germany for commissioning and completion quality surveillance of the offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid.
Ten months after the start of serial production of the newly developed SG 11.0-200 DD wind turbine from the manufacturer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in Cuxhaven, the offshore project Hollandse Kust Zuid is entering the next phase. From May 2022, the installation and commissioning of 140 wind turbines will start 18 to 36 kilometers off the Dutch coast, where 8.2 Consulting will carry out quality surveillance activities for commissioning and completion activities of the new turbines.
The inspectors from 8.2 Consulting are currently undertaking quality surveillance of the serial production of the nacelles in Cuxhaven, Germany. In parallel the prefabrication of the first 4 turbines was accompanied and supported for more than 12 months in Brande (Denmark) with the existing expertise of 8.2 Consulting AG.
With the follow-up order, which was closed on April 4th, 2022, the team will also go out into the construction field from May of this year.
Preparations are in full swing for commissioning and completion works to begin at the end of May 2022. By late summer 2023, all 140 wind turbines should be properly commissioned.
