Wind Energy – HKW

Last week, the jacket for TenneT’s Hollandse Kust (west Alpha) substation was upended at the Heerema Fabrication Group yard in Vlissingen.

Now assembly can continue with the installation of the cable deck, amongst other items, in a few weeks.

The jacket is 2,300 tons heavy and the height is 49 meters high.

The jacket is part of the second substation for the Hollandse Kust (noord) (west Alpha) project.

The substations will be installed off the coast of Egmond aan Zee in the north of the Netherlands.
