Wind Energy – U.S.A.
The team behind Vineyard Wind yesterday announced the launch of Vineyard Offshore – a company focused exclusively on the development of the rapidly expanding North American offshore wind market.

Vineyard Offshore’s senior management team will be led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lars Pedersen. Pedersen was recently CEO of Vineyard Wind, the company that is building the first commercial scale offshore wind project in the US, which broke ground in November of 2021.
Additional members of the leadership team include Chief Development Officer Rachel Pachter, General Counsel Jennifer Simon Lento and Klaus Skoust Moeller, CEO of the Vineyard Wind 1 project.
Vineyard Offshore will lead the development of two lease areas in the Northeast. Lease area OCS-A 522, known as Vineyard Northeast, is located off the coast of Massachusetts. In addition, the recently acquired lease area OCS-A 544, known as Vineyard Mid-Atlantic, is located in the New York Bight.
Both lease areas are owned by the CI-IV fund managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP). Combined with the 50% ownership of the Vineyard Wind 1 project, Vineyard Offshore has the potential to develop more than 4 gigawatts of clean, renewable and cost-effective energy on the East Coast of the United States, enough to power at least 2.4 million homes.
