Fossil Energy – Njord A
Neptune Energy recently completed the towing of the Njord A platform from the yard back to the field in the Norwegian Sea.

The platform has undergone an extensive upgrade and is now ready to produce for another 20 years.
This is the first time a platform has been towed to shore, upgraded, and towed back to the field for further production. Upgrading, life extension and development of existing fields is a major contribution to maintain long-term secure energy deliveries to Europe.
Director of JV & Commercial, Erlend Langklep, said: “The upgrades to the Njord A platform and Njord B opens a new core area for Neptune in Norway bringing on stream three fields that we have equity in, but also another operated asset through Fenja.”
Production from Njord is due to commence in Q4 this year.
