Greater Changhua OWFs welcomed new SOV

Wind Energy – Taiwan

On Sunday, Ørsted’s Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farms welcomed Taiwan- and Asia-first ever customized Taiwan-flagged Service Operation Vessel (SOV) arriving at Port of Taichung.

The SOV, capable of transporting 60 technicians, was delivered to TSSM by Norwegian shipbuilder Vard Group A/S in February. The SOV underwent successful sea trails in Vietnam before it departed for Taiwan on March 16th.

Upon its arrival in Taiwan, the SOV, which is chartered by Ørsted for the next 15 years, will dedicate its service fully to Greater Changhua offshore wind farms together with our local O&M technicians.
