General – Cranage
Huisman’s first crane for Fred. Olsen Windcarrier has been loaded out, in one piece, at Huisman China.
The 1,600mt Leg Encircling Crane will now be shipped to Singapore for installation onboard Bold Tern as a replacement for an existing crane.
With this new crane, the vessel will be prepared to install the next generation of offshore wind turbines, paving the way for increased production of clean, renewable energy.
Jan Sand Schanke-Jørgensen, COO at Fred. Olsen Windcarrier said: “With the lifting capabilities, extended outreach and flexible on-board storage capacity offered by this crane, we will be able to support the construction of the wind farms of the future in an optimally efficient manner. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Huisman in the next stages of the project.”
