Atlantique Offshore launches solution to support decarbonization

Wednesday, February 2 2022

General – decarbonization

During several months of extensive engineering efforts, Atlantique Offshore Energy – the Chantiers de l’Atlantique business dedicated to marine energy – developed an integrated hydrogen emergency power supply solution using new fuel cell technologies.

This concept, SeeOs+H2, replaces conventional diesel back-up generators, and secures the 18 hours of autonomy in emergency mode for platform safety, with no CO2 nor NOx emissions.

The system integrates its own electrolyser and a complete supervision, monitoring and control system.

“We are really happy to contribute to the decarbonization of our customers’ operations and of the offshore wind sector through this kind of pioneering proposal,” said Frederic Grizaud, director of Atlantique Offshore Energy.
