Fossil Energy – Madura field
Jiangsu Strong Wind, a Chinese marine equipment manufacturer, has signed a contract with Timas Oceanstar, an Indonesian firm, to construct a floating production unit (FPU).
The project is being executed on a very tight schedule, with Strongwind agreeing under its contract with Timas Oceanstar to deliver the project in 12 months. The 1st steel cut was performed already in May last year.
The launch late last week will ensure the delivery of the FPU at the end of May this year, Strongwind said.
SOW covers EPCIC of the FPU for the Madura satellite fields; known as the M satellite fields, operated by CNOOC and Husky Energy’s Indonesia joint operating company, Husky CNOOC Madura.
The FPU is a ship-shaped barge-mounted with facilities that will have a gas processing capacity of 175 million cubic feet per day and is destined for the MDA-MBH-MDK field cluster project.
The FPU will be leased back to HCML with operations to be conducted by Timas Oceanstar Indonesia.
