Wind energy – Noatun OWF
Swedish wind farm developer OX2 and Finland’s Bank of Åland Fondbolag Abp have signed a Memorandum of Understanding relating to the event of the Noatun offshore wind farm challenge, south of the Åland Islands.
The collaboration between OX2 and Ålandsbanken Fondbolag will happen through a collectively owned firm, during which OX2 is the developer and Ålandsbanken Fondbolag a long-term part-owner, till the challenge is accomplished.
The intention is to supply traders and the general public the chance to put money into the challenge through funds, OX2 mentioned. This is topic to the mandatory permits being obtained from Åland’s provincial authorities for the event of offshore wind energy and the challenge being carried out in line with plan.
The Noatun challenge is in an early part and is predicted to consist of roughly 250 wind generators that can present 20 TWh of electricity per year, which corresponds to the annual electrical energy consumption for about 4 million households, OX2 mentioned.
